  • What to expect

We like to pack our boxes with a good cross selection of products that will last you for a month if not longer and provide excellent value when compared to buying the items individually yourself.  We are very particular about the quality of our products found in our boxes which is reflected in the price of our boxes.

It is so important to look after your pets’ joints and by the time your dog reaches eight, they may already be showing signs of slowing down, sleeping more and not keen to run around like in their younger years.  It certainly does not need to be like that, there is still life in the old dog yet, you just need to know how best to look after their joints and feed their brains, as dogs are the same as humans, they suffer from painful Arthritis and can get Dementia.

    The typical range of products you can find in a box are;

    CAM – Anti-Slip Tape – Full Size – 50mm wide x 3m Roll             RRP £10.95

Because we love having a dog as a pet, most of us switched our flooring from carpets to tiles or laminate floors. Whilst it is great that our floors are easier to clean, it makes life very difficult for the older dogs.  Our Physiotherapist recommends introducing runners to the home and work environment so your dog can walk confidently,  feeling safe rather than worrying about the pain they may feel if they slip again.  But the stairs and garden can still be associated with pain for your dog.

Canine Arthritis Management (CAM) are an amazing company that run the campaign, #yourdogmoreyears and #itsmyhometoo.  They have loads of good advice and support for dog owners to manage Arthritis as part of a multi modal approach.

As slips, trips and stubbles can increase the rate of progression of Arthritis, making simple changes at home can make life much easier for your senior dog.  This clear adhesive anti-slip tape reduces the risk of slipping and can be used in your home, workplace, or garden such as patio steps.  All have potential slip hazards for your beloved pet.

The product is easy to apply as self-adhesive and bonds on most surfaces both indoors and outdoors.

    Ideal floor uses are:

    • Steps
    • Stairs
    • Lino
    • Wood
    • Tiles
    • Laminate

Leucillin – Antiseptic Skincare – 150ml Full Size     RRP £7.50

This is an absolutely amazing product, a must have for everyones first aid kit.

As with humans, skin can take longer to repair when older.  As your dog gets older it may repeatedly scuff their paws as they struggle with their range of movement.  We discovered this product, and it is truly amazing!  Safe for human use also and we can personally guarantee it for healing a paper cuts the same day!

Leucillin is an anti-bacterial, anti-viral and anti-fungal solution that kills up to 99.99999% of germs.  It combats a wide variety of pathogens.

The product was developed for use of cleaning and flushing minor wounds.  All you need to do is spray a very generous amount of the solution onto the graze/cut and allow it to absorb into the wound.  Safe to also use on ears and eyes.

    How does it work?

Well to quote Lyvlee Ltd, “Leucillin works in harmony with the bodies’ own immune system by containing the active ingredient Hypochlorous (HOCI).   HOCI is a naturally occurring chemical in the mammalian body produced by white blood cells.  It is a revolutionary breakthrough in healthcare with many 100 times the effectiveness of standard antiseptics while proven to be 100% safe.”

    Flex Jointcare –  Sample Size

The internet can be a minefield when looking for supplements to help your dog.  Nutraceuticals are unregulated.  It is therefore important that when spending your money, you use products that are proven to work through clinical trials.

Green lipped mussels sourced from New Zealand waters, Flex state this supplement is the most powerful joint supplement you will find and more effective than Glucosamine, Turmeric, Herbals remedies etc and we must admit there is little or no clinical evidence to support other joint supplements when it comes to assisting Arthritic dogs.   The evidence supports:

    • Omega 3 Fatty Acids
    • Green Lipped Mussel
    • Undenatured type II Collagen

While some remedies certainly won’t do your dog any harm, money is surely better spent on products that have clinical evidence to back them up.

Ace use full strength Glycomega PLUS Green Lipped Mussel which can be up to 4 times stronger than cheaper grades of Green Lipped Mussel.

As with all supplements, you should use them for at least three to six months and if you see no change during that time, stop using them.

This sample will last you for at least a month and will certainly allow you time to check for palatability.

    • Green Lipped Mussels
    • Vitamin E
    • Vitamin C
    • Zinc Gluconate
    • Selenium
    • Algae extracts (Fucus and Spirulina)
    • Corn starch

    Woof Butter – Joint & Movement – 250g Full Size RRP £3.99

    Green & Wilds – Fishy  – Full Size        RRP £3.25 to £5.95

We love this company because their products are natural healthy and nutritious. We use a selection of their fishy treats in our care boxes.

They are 100% air dried, high in protein, calcium, iron, other minerals, and Omega 3 fatty acids, yet low in calories.   This is important as when you dog starts to slow down, they drop muscle mass and gain the pounds, resulting in more pressure on the joints which in turn creates inflammation.  Tartar build up increases and the coat can start to appear dull.

These therefore make a perfect complementary treat for your dog, as part of a healthy balanced diet as it provides.

    • Omega 3
    • Supports brain function
    • Helps with Arthritis by reducing inflammation
    • Improves ability to fight cancer
    • Benefits the immune system
    • Boosts heart and kidney health
    • Improves skin and coat condition
    • Helps to reduce anxiety & depression
    • Helps to remove Tartar

All of their fish are ethically and sustainably sourced.
